There's also a structural thing in this. It's very hard to blood lots of young players and be an elite team. You can basically go and sign the best player in a position, the desire to put a younger player in becomes less.
I'm not sure what can be feasibly done this window, whether a loan could be freed up, whether they would let him go now etc. But he is about as close to a
Moyes type player as you can get really. He's had experience in the championship and PL, English player, good technically but works hard and is 22 so ready to play, but still some room for improvement.
