Honestly I’d fancy us to get a result at United next week after seeing QPR beat them (albeit with a weakened team) and Brentford come from behind twice to draw there last night

Even Benitez effectively said after the match that we still aren't there in terms of fitness.
I reckon a number of other teams will be in a similar situation this summer though yeno.
Every season is the same, I remember us getting leathered at Blackburn the week before the season started the other year and we were still giving Stekelenburg, Williams and Pennington game time.
I'm not expecting miracles but we still look pretty unfit right now. Euros/Copa/Olympics has kinda shanked us too.
We generally prepare poorly for season, it seems to be something that transcends managers here.
