Everton Fan from NYC

I'm a big Everton fan from NYC and I am hoping to visit Liverpool and take my 18 year old son to the Arsenal match on April 5th but need some guidance. Any recommendations on where is the best place to sit in Goodison Park, what is the best pub to go to before and/or after the match and hotels to stay in? We are looking forward to a true Everton experience! Thanks.

You like BBQ? You need to hit up Memphis, Kansas City, or stroll through Texas Hill Country (Austin to San Antonio).

Welcome mate! Decent hotels in Liverpool town centre and not far from Manchester airport are along the docks.

Loads of pubs around Goodison! Follow your nose! The Wilmslow is reopening soon too, directly opposite the ground!

Thanks for all the replies. Much appreciated! We've had incredible TV/Internet coverage of all Premier League games this year in the States. So, I've been able to catch virtually every Everton game this season. However, I can't wait to make it to Goodison Park!

Any suggestions on what section of Goodison Park I should buy seats in? I've read elsewhere that Upper Bullens 3 & 4 or the lower Gwladys sections are great locations to watch the match from. Any thoughts?

I'm thinking about UB for me and the Mrs Nigh, but you and your son may enjoy LG. You'll get better ideas from others here though.

Haven't had Memphis or Kansas City barbecue, but I had some in Austin and honestly wasn't that impressed. Best BBQ north of the Mason-Dixon though...
