How long have you supported Everton? Because there has been no 'release' for around 25 years, except for a few seasons which I imagine fans like yourself would still be disgusted at (4th/5th) as you seem to expect the unrealistic and if you don't get it you come on here and post negative opinions in every post. You're not on your own though.

I think a club like Arsenal would be for you. A lot of their fans have that mentality too, think they are entitled to success despite not having the resource of clubs ahead of them. But you'd still get some trophy wins and most likely CL football, something we haven't had for 22 years.

Everton bought Lukaku for £28m. We are going to get £75m minimum for him and he wants to leave and has been here 4 years. As part of that agreement we are able to bring in a famous name in Football who has a lot of experience at the highest level and knows what it's like to win in crunch games and win trophies. Forget what happened with him previously as I personally despise him for the way he left but from a football point of view, we are at the very least getting some benefit to our squad for the Europa League and overall campaign.

It's as good a deal as we could realistically have got.
