couldnt agree more, im just saying he still has a way to go and makes the wrong decisions alot

Moyes rates him mate and it looks like he'll be one of the first names on the teamsheet. He has ( at least ) the same amount of talent as Drenthe did, doesn't have any baggage a la Royston in his head and will probably learn from his mistakes. In two years time he'll probably be as important to us as Fellaini is now.

Do you remember when Pienaar first came ? Much the same things were said about him then.
Have a nice evening, but try to see some good in something, there's a good lad.

Phil Neville has played every game.
Ossie has played every game.
This is the current league table.
Not doing that badly considering how gash people think those two are.

So by your logic then, Neville is as good as Xavi.

And what was the standard reply when a kopite trotted out the passing stats about Allen? Thats right, that they were all simple 5 yards passes backwards and sideways.

When he is playing well Neville is a capable defensive mid who uses his experience to be in the right place, unfortuantly at 35 years of age his pace has deserted him and he never has been able to do anything with the ball offensively from that position.

In a decent team like we have surrounded by players playing well we can just cope with him in the side. But as soon as we need anything from our dm other than the very basics then we will struggle with Neville there.

We've won games with no strikers and Tony Hibbert in centre mid, doesn't mean we should always play like that, you play the strongest 11 you can in every position. Barcelona play Mascherano at centre back for god sake and still win eay but its not because of him.

Yea played well, looked good going forward and pretty solid defensively. He had a few moments in the first half where he wasn't getting any support defensively from Mirallas and struggled a bit ( not his fault ) but by the back end of the first half Neville was coming over to help out and Mirallas tended to go central so we looked a lot stronger defensively.

At Olympiacos, the side Mirallas was playing (usually the left) would usually be exposed by the other team on the counter badly. Luckily we have Xolebas, the best left back in the league to help cover him, but he weakens the side he plays on defensively just as he severely increases the side of the attack he resides on during a game.

We could have really done with this player again Arsenal next week. Loan him back to us for a CL game?

Osman's played pretty well this season. Some people have judged him before he's kicked a ball and therefore pick up on the things he does wrong rather than what he does right.

Same could be said for Neville, but it's fair to say that he has lost any pace he once had. He can only scamper a little these days and reminds me sometimes of an old dog who still tries to chase the rabbits, will retrieve a ball for an hour or so ( all be it a bit slowly ) but looks goosed by the end of the afternoon. If Neville was a dog he'd be one of these

To be fair, in the absence of Gibson, Neville is doing OK for us. I'd rather he was playing DM than Heitinga.

Barcelona 3 - 1 Southampton

We were fantastic today. Played some really excellent and concise football. Cavalier at times. We rode our luck a bit at times too, but it was a great performance.

The teams really starting to look balanced. Options all over the park, and especially on both wings. Congratulations to wee Coleman. He was excellent today.

Now let's keep it up and stay unbeaten into the derby game.
