With Gibson back and once the CBs sort their lives out I believe we will be. So you're right, we're not currently, like. But we're very close.

We've got two goalkeepers who I wouldn't trust to walk my dog and Phil Neville is our midfield cover. I'd say we're strong going forward but we're quite a way from having a fully strong squad.

I hate all this Neville bashing- thought he looked ok today. He was the backwards outlet that meant we could regroup and try a different approach.

I think people watch him and have already made their mind up what game hes going to have.

The last half hour of the first half was fantastic to watch. Did seem to take our foot off the gas in the second half. It is difficult to keep that level of intensity up though. Buzzing on the blues

We'll probably never have a fully strong squad because of financial constraints and players deciding to leave every so often like Lescott etc, but we can put out a decent XI when everyone is fit, which is what I was getting at. I reckon Howard's a decent keeper and has come in for a little more stick than he's warranted, so far. He's made some very good stops and once Gibson comes back I'd like to think he'd have a bit more protection. Which also goes for the back four.

No not really. I think he was decent today too; held the base of the midfield well and provided the outlet ball like you say. But he is legitimately crap nine times out of ten.

It isn't scapegoating - not from me anyway.

I never watched today so it may well be the case he played well. My Neville bashing is based on him being dog eggs for 90% of the season.

If you see him making our squad stronger then far be it from me to argue.

Atleast Moyes is doing the right things now. Too often we've seen Neville partnered with a similar type of player to himself and it's just a disaster waiting to happen. Over the last few months he's partnered a passer (Gibson) and a ball player (Osman) and we've retained a balance and he can concentrate on the jobs he's decent at. We always play better football with a creative type in the centre of the pitch and he's went with it more often than not.

We've just got so many options at the moment, Coleman and Baines on the overlap, Pienaar drifting inside from the left, Mirallas making darting runs from the right and Fellaini and Jelavic's combination of intelligence and physicality in the final third. We look like we can score 2-3 goals a game and that hasn't been the case for a long time. Even when we concede, I expect us to come back into the game.

Don't understand people bashing Howard, he's kept us in multiple matches already this season and bar his slip up against Newcastle he's been fine. We can't afford to spend any money we do get on anybody better because other areas of the squad need strengthening first so i'm puzzled as to why people slate him.

Im just saying people make their mind up on someone even when they see them that they are crap so are playing crap. Hey look, I would love a young Paul Scholes in the middle but we dont we have an ageing Phil Neville. I would rather have filth in there than Junior, Barkley or someone else when we dont have Gibbo. We do need cover- we almost had it until FIFA funked us over.

Fact is Neville can be poor but at this moment in time hes our best option in my opinion.
