When Rio Ferdinand and Michael Owen are saying we were robbed... we were robbed!

How Young went down is wholly irrelevant. The question is, simply: was it a foul? It clearly was.

Absolutely, because if it's clear fouls and they don't go down it often will not be pen. So it's stupid, but you have to fall just the correct amount for it to be a penalty. This needs to be fixed.

I honestly think from hearing former refs saying Goodison is intimidating and the crowd shout for everything that referees walk onto the Goodison pitch esp if we are playing the so called big teams with the mentality that they won't let themselves look like the crowd are intimidating or influencing them into decisions and go totally with the opposition

If that was the case, wouldnt it be more natural for them to think, we do not favor the big teams and then give them less of the decisions? I believe it's just corruption. There is mighty people behind Premier league, money rules and when it's lots of money and mighty people behind something, then there will.be corruption

Great first half
Looked tired in second half
Lost the plot after they scored
Subs a bit late
VAR is a complete fraud used for corruption

However, another point added to our total. Feeling a bit more safe now. Looking like we will move to the new stadium as a prem team. Should be safe before the last home game and we can enjoy the day (Emotional as well) New owners, new boss, and a new attitude. Moyes ain't perfect, but I thank him for the last few weeks, it has been amazing. Dyche would have had us in a relegation fight right now.

A long way to go, but we are moving the right way now. COYB
Sensible post that

I thought the Lindstrom substitution changed the game.

Once young was deployed at RM we sat back and allowed United to dominate possession and as always Garnacho became a problem for us. The Young substitution to nullify that didn’t work.

Although I thought their left side of Dorgu and Garnacho were very very good. Either way it’s 2 points dropped for me
Can only assume Young was instructed to play deeper as the number of times we did break but he was nowhere to be seen was startling.

I also noticed last night ironically, Bournemouth had a very soft red card against them. There is no way this league wants them in a top 4 place at the expense of Chelsea or Newcastle

Still annoyed with that game. VAR intervention for that penalty decision doesn't make sense and the referee was trying to get United back into the game at every opportunity. Aside from that I'm frustrated that we don't put games to bed more easily. It's been a problem all season where we struggle to see games out.

The premier league needs their 'big teams' in Europe, getting headlines, fulfilling hype.

I genuinely think that the risk of Utd getting dragged into a relegation fight, as unlikely as it is, isn't something they can allow, so deployed full interference.

Their lack of bookings, the penalty, it is not coincidental.

For years 'big' clubs got decisions. They still do, both ways.

we were robbed, not just of a win, but possibly one last big goodison grandstand of a last minute winner against the mancs

could have had the stadium in absolute pandemonium and then harmony singing all the songs in the sunshine

but no, we get VAR pulling apart reasons not to reward the opportunity to score a goal

it’s unequivocally made the game worse, less fun, less enjoyable, less live, hasn’t made it fairer, it creates fouls and offsides that were never there before, it gives opportunity to choose what the officials want, when it should be a snapshot decision without bias

the ref gives a foul because its a foul, he can’t in that moment think of what a united loss might mean, or if theres doubt. he just has to make a decision and thats what football should be

i feel sick at what could have been. may have been my last ever visit to goodison and me and thousands of others have been robbed the memory of a lifetime there
