Think it was a real case of the same XI being flogged to death today. Would’ve given Alcaraz and Tim far more time to freshen things up. We badly need some players back from injury.
You were right about needing a third
They literally offered nothing, the only way they would hurt us was through a Fernandes free kick which got them back in it,to be fair they bossed it after that and looked the more likely to me remarkably to go on and win it.We have too small a squad, it's no coincidence that teams like Bournemouth who have 20 first team players score lots of late goals whilst we have about 14 and therefore struggle to maintain a 90+ minute performance.
Goals change games, and our poor defending of that free kick, especially by Pickford let them back into a game that they had almost given up on. However if we'd had better subs we could have wrested back the initiative. They literally offered nothing, the only way they would hurt us was through a Fernandes free kick which got them back in it,to be fair they bossed it after that and looked the more likely to me remarkably to go on and win it.
That may be why Moyes delayed making subs today. I'm thinking Tim and Charly start Wednesday against a team that isn't anywhere as dirty as United.Yeah can see us struggling at Brentford on Wednesday, we just don't have enough players to rest many
Yeah, I agree. That may be why Moyes delayed making subs today. I'm thinking Tim and Charly start Wednesday against a team that isn't anywhere as dirty as United.
And what they got a booking for was for loitering in front of a free kick.Away from the 'penalty ' I was amazed we had so many players booked and until the last minutes they only had one...we seem to be the easy target all the time for these balloon brained officials....sick of watching incompetent morons ruin the game
There you go, Match of the Day pulling the var penalty decision apart.
Nailed on penalty
