Let's be clear - if Suarez had been sent off for his stamps on Distin and Mirallas, he isn't there to score at thw end. Justice done.

I think that if Mirallas doesn't pick up a knock, we end up scoring another goal or two. He was downright unplayable down the left today. Gueye on the other hand hardly offered anything, nor did Oviedo. We better hope that he's not badly hurt, because I think Moyes may have found himself a top quality winger.

The best compliment you can pay Mirallas is that we didnt miss Pienaar at all in the first half.

Also I am not sure saying Oviedo "hardly offered anything" is fair, he was only on the pitch for five or six minutes and did more during that time than Gueye did anyway.

That **** Suarez kicked him.

I hope Donovan comes back in January. We need more good players.

I've just looked on RANK
"If the FA had any ounce of diginity and non-bias, they should add the goal and give us the 3 points.
It's shambolic, disgusting, appalling officiating once again by the refs.

You can't pick and choose what you find on the RAWK forum and pretend its what everyone over there thinks. Not really fair to simply highlight the negative. Look at this post:

>Quote from DutchRed: "Come on, that kick on Distin was absolutely horrible. No need for it, no intention to get the ball. That doesn't take away that the goal should have stood and that it was a huge mistake, but one needs to count their blessings. We can't really go and pretend we were robbed because Suarez could, should, have been sent off and that would have got him a 3 match ban."

It is that type of thing that will ensure that someone breaks Suarez's leg one day soon; I mean diving, feigning injury and whatnot is one thing but he has a history of deliberately trying to seriously injure opponents, so why wouldnt they want to snap him first?

Yeah i was reasonably impressed with Oviedo. He didn;t do that much and it was against tired legs but he looks a better bet than Gueye.

Correct

Loved Osman's performance. We needed a cool head out there and he stepped up, using the ball really intelligently, cushioned headers into feet, and just making himself available really. Simplistic brilliance from the little man.

Best CM display I've seen from him in ages. Possibly ever.

Suarez should have been sent off anyway.

That was never a red card mate. I believe Suarez got stamped on the chest against Stoke as well but that wasn't given as a card because the ref thought it was not intentional.

Anyway overall we were the better team and I guess we deserved a bit of luck with the officials for once.
