Everton boast the stadium and the stature to become one of the country’s most successful clubs”.

Nice to read that sentence in the match report of a national newspaper (the Times). Wouldn’t argue with the next sentence either-

“What they lack, even with the mercurial Ndiaye in their line-up, is the depth of quality required to consistently challenge the existing status quo.”

We might not lack it in another twelve months though!

The silence of the fans
Dont blame them watching that rubbish.
Nothing to shout about.
They need to bin the manager,
Dont know what he was trying to achieve at all they need wins to stay up.
Just seemed to be sit back try to stop them , then hopefully hit them on the break?
He has given up .
Fella is a fraud.
Dont mind Burnley fans at all they are a loyal lot normally.

I agree Da-wight was very good but I gave my MOTM to Branthwaite.

Absolutely shocked that he only received 4 votes including mine.

He is the one that allows the the midfield and wingers to play because they know that the back is secure.

Absolutely imperious last night.

The difference when he starts vs Keggers is just massive.
Totally agree

That makes 2 of the four votes!

Think Moyes took him off to protect him as he knows how important Branthwaite is for us for the run in ……. Let alone next season

Branthwaite is real Rolls Royce of a player, but honestly had very little to do last night. Burnley are neat in the first two-thirds, but hopeless in the last third - where have we heard that before?

McNeil is a redemption story and generally improved as he was successful and the crowd encouraged him. Maybe not the best individual player on the night, but the best performance in my opinion.

Let’s see what happens in the next few, before we overdo it, but credit where it’s due.

garner does cover a lot of ground, think he ran the most in that game and most games usually

but kdh gets into better offensive positions
also he passes and moves more
Yeah I wouldn't question the offensive aspect, but that's the role he's playing so it's highlighted more.

Overall and for every aspect, Garner is always an option. An option that very very rarely doesn't pay off.

They suit each others game so well, yet posters will still die on their sword asking for Garner at Rb..

Enjoyed that last night , not been too many ‘regulation’ wins and it was nice to be treated to one .

They’re not a good side but that was a well deserved win for us . Thought several players stood out including McNeill , KDH & gueye .

If we manage to sneak into Europe then the last few days will be a huge part of that .

Nice to enjoy a home game

A win is a win, doesn't matter who it is against. Typical first half, cautious, attempt to cover all bases so as they don't score, rely on a set piece and don't go beyond their defence. Second half, as per usual a much higher tempo, with better movement and quicker passing. McNeill exemplified that, hardworking first half more on the ball second half and it paid off.
