I said before the game this should have been our easiest points of the season and Moyes needed to show he was capable of turning the ship round at home with regards to results and style.

Far too many posters were giving Burnley too much respect. They were and are crap.

Apart from not converting enough chances and making some poor decisions in front of goal (Gueye dithering, Dewsbury-Hall lashing over numerous times), everything went perfectly from the off. Pickford topped it off with a superb reflex save near the end, but that needn't have happened anyway as too much overtime has already been played by the referee for some reason.

Would like to have seen much more from Mykolenko and O'Brien. Burnley came for a draw and were dominated by us. They didn't look to attack even when losing, and if we had had support from the full backs we could have ended up with a cricket score.

Not getting carried away by this though as it's a team destined for relegation and there will be much harder tests to come, but it's been a fantastic few days for the players, manager and fans.

9/10 night and special mention to Dwight McNeil for coming back into the fold and not looking out of place.
I agree Da-wight was very good but I gave my MOTM to Branthwaite.

Absolutely shocked that he only received 4 votes including mine.

He is the one that allows the the midfield and wingers to play because they know that the back is secure.

Absolutely imperious last night.

The difference when he starts vs Keggers is just massive.

You could look at it as a massive compliment to him — the fans simply expect him to be superb and so aren't surprised when he puts in a 9/10 performance. 🔥

I know it is only Burnley but I was very pleased with what I saw. McNeil deserves a massive shout, has stepped up when needed. We need more of that from others

That would be funny. At our early eighties nadir it was still not comparable to Burnley. Feel bad saying that but along with Bolton it is a land time forgot. Actually it is an example of our 'expletive' abysmal country.
I visited Wolverhampton in the very early 90 s while daughter was in University in Telford
Have to say it’s one major dump of a town
Never been to Burnley thank god

He also allows us to play 5/10 yards higher up because he actually has some pace. Meaning we press higher and win turnovers higher up the pitch.

Yes.

They gave that “in your Liverpool homes” ditty a turn.

But even aside from that, they are easily the most annoying fans I have seen all season.

Some idiotic, repetitive inand bollox going on.

Until we scored…that shur the Dingles up 😎
I thought I heard that but it's like they filter out a lot of the crowd noise on Spanish tv coverage, so I wasn't entirely sure.

Let's hope they get relegated next year aswell.

Great to have him back…. Makes such a difference to the team!

This is when / where we should definitely be playing with the likes of Patterson.

I like JOB but it really grates on be when he is playing RB where he offers close to zero.

Let’s hope this is only the case for the remaining 9 games and we in fact go out and buy a RB. But something tells me he will start there on 1st game of the season if he hasn’t handed in a transfer request by that point.

Gave it to McNeil.

I think the Branthwaite argument is difficult because he had an easy game, but that was down to the fact that Burnley were totally toothless. So he had very little to do for 80 minutes, what he did do was falutless.

I’m not trying to defend Burnley fans in general, but they were actually singing ‘In our Lancashire Homes’; a song they sing at every match:

Google: Burnley FC chant "In Our Lancashire Homes" (often called "We Are the Longside").
