What an abject performance.
Our centre back pairing have been so bad recently yet he still chose to play our most composed and available best centre half at right back.

Illy was poor along with KDH.
The only shining light for me was Rohl, thought he played well for the most part yesterday.

Was in ten streets after the game and there was a group of lads, around 10 of them, aged from about 18 to 23 I would guess, every one of them singing every Everton song you could think of. Yet not one of them will have seen us win anything. These fans deserve better.

"it is not the critic who counts"
Few loose balls, however that is down to not being played enough in competitive games. Overall though, looks like the obligation to buy won't be a massive waste of money.

Quick check!

The three goalscorers for Sunderland yesterday had a grand total of... 0 Premier League appearances before joining them last summer.

Their goalkeeper who stopped O'Brien's point blank header had a total of... 0 Premier League appearances before joining them last summer.

Reinaldo and Geertruida had previously never played in the Premier League before this season.

31-year-old centre half O'Nien who came on and looked head and shoulders better than our centre halves joined them in League One years ago.

Indeed the only players who had played in the division before were Xhaka and Masuaku.

This is in comparison to our XI with over 1000 combined Premier League appearances.

So again I ask, why does Everton and this manager insist on Premier League experience?

Because he is an idiot.

Not Moyes fault though.

If he had better fullbacks and a new striker he would still play the bloody same way.

That seems a little harsh, considering he's been played out of position for most of the season.
But when he did play CB he was far from impressive. Remember that crazy handball, too? I am not one for getting on the back of players but, truth is, sadly, he is not that good at Prem level.

Still harsh. Can't be played at full back for the majority of a season then expect to slot back into CB with no questions asked. There's a level of communication required with your fellow CB. Knowing what he's doing on and off the ball etc. I feel he'd have been a lot better given the chance.

Ok mate, let's agree to disagree. But he is not the only one who is not really good enough IMO.
