I've said loads of time there and I still believe this to be true: DoF's are not suited to us.
This 20th century attitude is part of the reason why we're in the mess we're in. Owners, Chairman, Manager and DOF all bringing in players willy nilly, leaving us with an unbalanced squad. In your world we bring in a new manager,he signs 8 players, it doesn't work, he loses his job, the next manager comes in, doesn't fancy the players the previous manager bought and we're in a mess again. You need a DOF who you believe in long term and then head coaches who operate in the system set up by the DOF

Knew we were Donald Ducked, when people in front row of Upper Gwladys couldn't put we shall not be moved banned down properly. Typical Everton hitting post 3 times and not scoring. 2nd goal was unforgivable.

It's groundhog day with Everton sometimes.
Start slow rarely works at goodison.
Standing off rarely works at goodison.
Passive rarely works at goodison

We then go behind and all hell for leather for last 20 mins. (By this time it's too late)

Same all same all no matter what manager when Everton are in this mood.

Is @davek commentating?

Brighton were in a slump when we played them. They won the three previous away from home with the most recent being a 1-3 win at United. They also drew the four before the three wins.
Sorry to quote my own post but I got to thinking about this last night.

When have you ever heard the commentators (one of whom was an ex-Blue) belittling a team's three match winning streak by criticising the teams that they have beaten in that run?

DoFs never get the power and longevity to make a blind bit of difference in the vast majority of cases.

An unnecessary level of bureaucracy that wastes a club a fortune.

Thank you well, good we agree on that but I'd be surprised if Moyes has agreed to that, I think he'll be given 18 -24 months to stabilise the club, then work with the owners to bring in a new manager with modern ideas.
Pure conjecture on my behalf but I honestly don't think Moyes would have made such a short term agreement unless he is moving towards an upstairs appointment.
What are these “modern ideas?” Do “young, hungry” managers have access to a treasury of secret, esoteric footballing knowledge that is off limits to everybody else?

Who exactly are these young super coaches everyone is obsessed with?
