Same here... this is how I don`t get how you can be so positive when you`ve just seen nothing but abject failure after abject failure....

Just this season is getting to me more than most... like I said earlier the cherry on the top will be Liverpool winning on Wednesday and they will have beat us more times at Goodison than we have beaten them, I think that is embarassing and shows just how they`ve dominated us over the years, our win % in the derby is 33.33%, again I think that is embarassing having any away team win more games at your ground than you have....
What happens when you been run by morons for the last 20 odd years

Dunno Dave, why don’t you tell us why you don’t want to?

How is me saying a cup wasn't the priority the same as someone saying he wasn't arsed about winning the tie?

In what universe are they the same outlooks?

Years of being down trodden mate... just the way it is when it comes to Everton, just wished club had never touched me, they rarely bring any real joy, like you`d get from winning something or finishing high enough to qualify for Europe, for as long as I can remember we`ve just been crap and after seeing that for the best part of 40 years it isn`t changing any time soon...
That fact that your in here moaning says different. It's Sat night so just go out enjoy yourself ...stop spreading the gloom.
I'm in my 6th decade of supporting Everton... most of them none too good !
But I tell my youngest (born'97) ,that without the bad times the good times don't taste so sweet. Relax 😉

I hate that a lot of fans are saying it didn’t matter because it was just the FA. No true fan to the core would ever feel that way. Think Pep and Citeh fans feel like that? Think the RS shrug their shoulders if they lose an FA match? No way. Winners want to win and they want to win everything all the time whether it’s the league, the FA, the shield, or a coin toss or poker. Our attitude has to be better to where we’re disappointed and even pissed we lost because we know we’re better, but not trying to rationalise it away.
One team wins the FA Cup every year.

Even if we don’t expand the argument beyond your examples of Liverpool and City, at least one of them will not win it each year.

Is your argument here that if we simply consider ourselves winners, we will automatically win?

Is your argument here that fans on here have said that losing a cup game doesn’t matter? Because nobody has; they’ve simply said it’s not the end of the world; which it absolutely isn’t.

It’s a profound, lazy oversimplification and boring cryarsing. In every game both teams want to win, and typically the one that does is some combination of better in general and/or better on the day.

Accept it. Move on, and stop this infantile nonsense of declaring that anyone in anything other than total agreement with your whinging mustn’t be a real fan because you sound like a gargantuan tit.

How does any part of your message affect the scoreline?

Gutted. Would have loved a good cup run and a chance of a lower league team at home in round 5 we could have had a real good go at it but we paid the price for awful mistakes and awful 60 or 70 minutes where we then decided to pick up the tempo and put some pressure on them and on another day we score a couple. It wasn't to be but we go again Wednesday and hopefully this defeat is forgotten about if we beat Liverpool
