Everton’s worst best 11

Cant really be classed as the worst buys ever as we recouped a majority of the cash we spent whereas:-

Naisse 13.5 million and $60k per week on wages returned fee $NIL

He whom cannot be named 45 million and $100k per week, returned fee will be $NIL

Cenk Tosun 27 million $70k per week wages and a throw away wig, returned fee will be NIL

Given the last six years this list could go on forever, Iwobi at $34 million and $70k per week, but there is a chance we may get a fee for him?
To be fair to Niasse his Lazarus like return against Bournemouth (?) was one of the greatest Everton moments of the past 10 or so years for me. Granted we haven't had many good moments in general but you would have to be dead inside to not enjoy that one.

Gough…. Seriously?? Where’s Carl tiler, or Tony Thomas??
Weren’t they always crap players?
I suppose Slavan Bilic has to be up there, supposed to be the real deal with West Ham, came here was sent off 3 times in his first season, spent most of his second season injured, and had to be paid off with half of the remaining 2 years wages to get him out of the club. Mind you, he was fit enough to play for Croatia in the World Cup during all this, they reached to semi final I believe.
Bilic is in.

Updated side: struggling for a right back -

Gk - pat jennings (sports writer and pfa footballer of the year - first gk to win it)
Rb - struggle???
Lb - Kenny Samson (England’s most capped left back til apart from Ashley Cole)
Cb - slavan bilic (Croatian captain, most expensive defender at time)
Cb matterazzi - (crap for us actually became a great player when he left - world Cup winner.)
Rm james / hamaz (World Cup golden ball winner)
Lm - ginola (footballer of the year)
Cm - Gascoigne (arguabley England’s greatest footballer)
Cm - rooney second spell (arguably england greatest footballer)
Cf - eto’o (Africa’s greatest footballer)
Cf - mark hughes (first player to win pfa award twice)

He could hardly run by the time he signed for Everton. But you could still see his footballing brain as he chipped in with a good few goals in his short time here. He could sniff goals with his runs into the box.
Yeah had a decent season. Was still in 20s too

Wasnt Pistone a right back? or was he left? I cant remember he could slot in there right back position given he played for Inter?

As for someone's previous mention of Mo Johnston he is a hero in my eyes after destroying the RS, good night that was

Think looking for someone more credible than pistone. Not sure he had any accolades anywhere

For a long time I have considering the fact we have had a lack of truely world class players at Everton. Only Kanchelskis and teenage Rooney meet that criteria in the modern day.
However we have had an abundance of good players that were well past their best while gracing the everton shirt. Wondered if anyone could improve on this list
pretty sure defensively there are players I have missed:

Gk - Westerveld
Rb - Sidibe (World Cup winner, bit part loan player)
Cb - Ashley Williams (stretching it a little)
Cb - gough
Lb - Kenny sansom
Rm - James
Cm - rooney (second spell)
Cm - gascoigne
Lm - ginola
Cf - e’to
Cf - mark hughes

Who have I missed?
Some weird choices there pal
