Europa League?

I'd love it if we got back in.

BATE Borisov, Athens, Olomouc, Bucharest, , Bergen, Nurnburg, Alkmaar - all ace trips (notwithstanding the result in one of them). And the list goes on....

i think to make teams take it serious, the winner should get a place in the champions league.

I think we all know what would happen in this situation don't we.... We know who would win it the year we fluke 4th, leaving us in the same position as spurs this season....

Id love to qualify for any European competition, great trips away and more opportunities for revenue

Does the Europa bring much TV money in?

I'm with you except for me Bucharest was a total bin and combined with the horrendous result I trip I don't have any really fondness for plus it was the only time I've done an organised trip and that was a nitemare. I notice you missed of Kharkiv the best of the bunch for me .

I loved the European jaunts , with the exception of the 80's and the 95 cup run the best years of my everton life and made mates on them that are now really good mates. I'd love the opportunity to be back there & i always feel its the lads who don't go to Europe who often rubbish the competition, I'd love a trophy and a European trophy would be immense.

For my sins, I didn't make it on any of the European trips and it's a big regret that I missed the likes of Nuremberg. I'd love to think I'd not missed out on the chance completely for something like that.

I'm sure you will mate but if we do don't miss out again , I've done all the post 80's Europe and I've absolutely loved them . When else am I ever going to visit Belarus , iceland or Ukraine ? If we get there don't go on an organised trip whatever you do book it yourself , the excitement of working out how we'd get to the teams who are in our pot before its drawn out is just part of the fun. As united fans and reds told me for years if you can get yourself to Amsterdam or Prague you can get anywhere , trains across Europe for pennies, cheap beer , cheap hotels and ladies (both professional and amateur) of easy virtue , what more could you ask for.

Yet more examples of Evertonians more arsed about qualifying for a tournament we won't win than actually winning things.

Mate I'd love to win a trophy , I'm lucky enough to have seen a few and I hope I see a lot more. For me enjoying a jaunt to Europe or a decent game somewhere off the beaten track doesn't mean I wouldn't swap a trophy for it in a heartbeat

I couldn't do Kharkiv as my passport was in the Russian Embassy to get my visa for the England game in Moscow a few weeks later, but living now as I do in Ukraine I've done Kharkiv a fair few times and it is boss!

We did 5 nights for Bucharest and were wrecked pretty much the whole time, save for a day trip in a chauffeur driven Merc up to Transylvania inculding Dracula's castle etc which cost us about £25 each for the whole day. Boss time, and the Friday night in some massive club in Bucharest was legendary.....

I'd love to be in it. The way we've started though, Champions League is the aim, so it may feel a bit of an anti climax if we ended up there in May. That disappointment will be gone when you're having a beer abroad in some quirky unknown place.

See mate that's the difference it's no coincidence I couldnt stand Bucharest , result aside it was an in and out and they are crap. It's the planes , trains and automobiles side of it that added to the fun and finding dubious boozers, we got smashed by benfica but thanks to a hilarious train journey, a couple Swedish girls (nowhere near as fit as in the 'movies' unfortunately !) and a mojoito bar we had a fantastic trip .

I loved ukraine mate just a brilliant country and I'm very envious of you living there , the people were in my experience brilliant and the women  . One of the lads came back from that jolly with a wife !

"I am winning all the sports"

A few people round here need a bit of Old Spice if you ask me.

It's a halfway house . We could win a trophy and have them fab night games it would also give us a chance to bring more players from Europe in and let us see little gems about but we have a small squad and it would effect are league position. It wouldn't benefit us In the long run so that's no good for a club with no money. We have quality to reach champions league which would be more financially benefiting us and would take less of a toll on the squad , for me it's champions league

We should play to win every game if that leads us to the Europa, CL, the Title, FA cup whatever, I couldn't give a monkeys.

I've yet to see any evidence that coaches not playing their best 11 in some spurious prioritising of games is anything but disruptive.

So yeh, get into the europa if that's where our best takes us - and while there try and win it!
