Going to have to be a turnaround of Goliath proportions to save this season from being a complete waste really.

Win the Europa or bust.

We win that and it's our best season since kendall went to bilbao, we'll have finally broken our trophy drought and we'll be guarenteed group stages cl football next year, it would be massive emotionally, finanicially, in terms of prestige.

Don't and we're mid table, trophyless, hopelessly boring to watch, not in europe and struggling to keep our players.

Can't fault any of that

05/06 doesnt count therefore on average we have dropped 0.66 places in the league when we have been in the europa, hardly devastating is it.

Interesting reading them. Just looking at ourselves, disregarding the two match campaigns, which cant really be classed as a European adventure, we improved once out of the other two Europa league seasons, not by a significant amount of positions either.

Iv always liked the idea of qualifying for Europe even if its not the premier competition, and the grief being in the competition is overstated. The fact that if you can win it now you gain access to the cl has strengthened them beliefs. Lets face it, with the league we're in its almost as much of a chance to get in it as by way of finishing in the top 4.

Our struggles domestically this season have little or nothing to do with the fact we're in the Europa league imo.

....think somebody posted on here that following Europa matches the vast majority of Spurs league games were at home whilst ours were away. I think we lost a perceived easy home game following Europa but it is a consideration.

We did, but any team would have struggled to win that day at home to Palace with our keeper helping them out no end, surely his gash performance that day cant be put down to having to play a home game against Wolfsburg the previous Thursday.
