Seems like us and Stoke looking for a similar kind of player, so both in for Essien on loan or N'Zonzi on a permanent, but neither want both. Interesting to see how this pans out - probably end up with neither or both by mistake!

Tony Barrett of The Times said that Moyes was in London for something other than the work permit hearing, that he really didn't need to be present for that, and that he was working on a deal.

Moyes is the best manager for getting the most out of under-performing players. Hope that the treatment we used for Saha could be useful for Essien. If so I don't see why not to get him on loan.
