Epic Car Wreck

NASCAR, and car racing in general, is dumb. America is a big place though. As someone who has lived his whole life in the Boston-DC corridor, i can tell you than I am still waiting to meet a single NASCAR fan native to this area. Vast stretches of American don't pay attention to this ****.

Year ago I was down south on vacation when a big star in NASCAR died in a race. Everyone was in complete shock and mourning his loss down there. I said "he was driving 200 mph in a circle for 3 hours with 40 other guys doing the same thing. What do you think is going to happen?"

So you must think f1/indycar/F3/GP2 etc is **** as well then because they also sometimes make contact, only difference is when they make contact their race is usually over compared to lots of other series where a bit of contact isn't a race ending situation. I just don't understand why you would dismiss all tin top racing just because they can make contact and get away with it ? thats what makes it exciting and gives you epic side by side battles which you won't ever see in F1.

That video at Watkins Glen is a classic example of good hard racing, and is much closer to the roots of motorsport than modern day F1 is. Two drivers pushing it to the limits but at the same time remaining respectful, they both gave each other props after the race and its generally considered one of the classic last lap battles in any series over the past decade or so.

This video is an example of stepping over the line, intentionally wrecking someone BIGTIME on the last lap (shame because it was an unbelievable battle up until the last corner).

I dont like it where contact can be purposely use to gain an advantage, something which was shown on the the original clip. I prefer races that takes true skill in overtaking on a corner and whatnot. Accidents happen, but yo shouldn't be allowed to spin knock a car off, just silly.

More or less my thoughts on it.

By all means contact should be allowed. But when that contact impedes the other driver then it's a bit unfair really.

OMG SOMEONE HAS A DIFFERENT OPINION TO ME IN THE INTARWEBZ!!!!!!!

FIGHT TO THE DEATH HATER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
