I think there's more going on behind the scenes than we hear about to be honest. Will make a very interesting autobiography don't ya think? :)

Surely though it cant all be the fault of others? his ill fated spell as captain would be the chapters i would love to read i suspect though he'd be the one who'd come out gleaming and smelling of roses.

Two sides to every story of course but it seems to me his time with England i coming to an end(next summer is my bet) but the damage he's doing to team morale must be a worry for those in charge, and if it isnt then it bloody well should be.

Totally agree there's too sides, but it's a bit like what Everton do with players they need to sell, they leak stuff to make them look like the Judas etc, similar stuff is happening here in my opinion but I'm sure it'll all come out one day. He's arrogant and up front, that'll ruffle the old boys in the MCG for sure.

I kinda wish KP would go and do one to be honest. He's undoubtably a fantastic talent, but he's not the great player that talent suggests he should have been. His average is 5 runs shy of the truly great players of his generation, like Kallis, Ponting, Tendulkar, Yousuf, Sangakkara. All the big teams have players with a higher average than him.

That's not to say that talent isn't much better than anyone we'd get to replace him of course, but his constant need for approval must be an ongoing drain for the team. We did just fine in one dayers without him, and I'm sure in time we'd do fine in tests without him too.

Hard to disagree Bruce,i've said in this thread he should be THE batsman of this generation but he's not a great talent couple with this ********y personality he seems to have.

Time to call his bluff and let him go.

He could definitely learn a lot from a player like Sangakkara I agree there. What a terrific player and representative of his country that man is.

The innings in the last test almost summed him up. It'd be churlish to cricise a man that made a very good hundred, yet getting out 2nd ball the next day stopped us from building a good lead. The first part was very, very good, yet getting out like that isn't something the greatest players would have done.

It's frustrating more than anything as with the possible exception of Cook, we don't have any other batsmen in that league, yet you can't escape the feeling that he could be even better.
