Leaving Barkley's omission to one side, that is one awful squad.

Is there anything at all to get excited about apart from the fact only one of our players are going to have to cope with being a part of this circus?

I agree, what an awful squad. I don't think we will be seeing great football. I really can't understand why any manager would leave Barkley out, the only real game changer England have.

Try and make us hard to break down, tough to play against etc.

Obviously he failed to watch the Iceland game where a complete lack of ideas and invention cost us a place in the quarter finals. I'm guessing he'll line up with the midfield below.

Rooney is now a midfielder. And he leaves out Barkley, and Rashford who was the only bright spot for them in a hilarious euros.
