EFC Players Out On Loan 2021-22

Broadhead came on for about 20 mins yesterday and helped Sunderland see out a 1-0 home win.

Gibson's absence was basically put down to not being match fit but he's expected to be in match day squads imminently.

Why is our Academy so poor?
A number of factors really, we compete with 3 big clubs for local lads, 2 of which are currently giving young players far more first team opportunities than we do. The third offers an education we cant match.
Up untill recenty we had a back log of players staying far too long in the u23s thus limiting opportunities for u18s to move up (we are slowly rectifying this but broadhead is an example)
We have been extremely poor in choosing loans for our youngsters, during key development stages. Such as sending Gibson to Reading when they had a settled CB partnership.

Broadhead on the bench again as Sunderland beat Wycombe 3-1 at home.

Virginia also on the bench as Sporting drew 1-1 at Famalicao.

Gibson still nowhere to be seen as Wednesday lose away to Morecambe.

Not the most successful set of loans so far but it is still early days!

….just reading Kean was at fault for Napoli’s late winner against Juve.

I know, I know, but I have been watching our investment and to be honest, I really don’t expect Juve to pay up at the end.

It all feels too good to be true.

Im sure ther3 will be some weasel words that will let Juve off the hook.

If they qualify for the CL, as we're led to believe, they have to pay us.
