Seen it doing the round on a few places now. Slow news day and all that.

A fan of us bought a copy of the Sun at the Tesco in Allerton Road. Apparently the girl who served him picked it up like the piece of **** it is (also told him it should be banned) and he's now sending tweets to Tescos to try and get her the sack. As per RAWK are outraged.

How rude of the till girl in @Tesco to say that my newspaper should be banned from sale in the shop.

@yargevets Sorry to hear this, are you able to elaborate on this please? #ThenWeCanGetThisLookedInto

@Tesco thanks.
Allerton Road Liverpool buying The Sun at lunchtime. Girl picked up my paper with her fingernails, clearly didn't want to....

@yargevets (2/2) numbers at the bottom of the receipt handy please? I can feed this back to the colleague in question.

@Tesco Cheers. 24/9/13 13:46 2022 002 1134 2528. More a case of ignorance and lack of manners than actually offensive, but certainly rude

@yargevets Thanks for that. I've got everything I need to contact the manager in store about this.

Bit of a grass like.

So she works for a company that sell it but is offended when somebody buys it.... she might want another job elsewhere.

It's not representative of Evertonians, who gives a **** what that divvy did? And if the girl feels so strongly about it she'll be ok because she'll have told her employers she wouldn't agree to sell it...wouldn't she?

Stupidity on both sides.

She's in a customer service job, it's not up to her to throw her morals onto customers who choose to buy something she disagrees with.

He's a t**t for making such a big deal of it and possibly getting the girl sacked, never mind actually buying the stupid rag.

Cant understand this at all.

Was it the fact that a Blue was buying it?
She might have been offended by Page 3?
Why complain FFS?

Jeez.

She's being unprofessional but she's right. He's a Sun buying grass.

And no, I don't think it's page 3 she was offended by.

Divvies at both clubs over this issue.

I very very much doubt that's the reason, like.

Sure you are right mate, just illustrating the point of why bother. I honestly could not care less what paper someone buys, and I certainly would not try and potentially get someone sacked for something like this.

Like I said. Jeez.
