Fantastic player and for me what a refreshing change with his comments, being torn between signing a new contract or getting his dream move to Madrid.
I’m sure Chelsea fans will appreciate his honesty, I know I would if he was here.
Best player in the Prem for me.
Yer i thought that was a good interview aswell!

Seems a good, honest lad who just enjoys playing footy, hasnt got the ruthlessness of a ronaldo or messi, but he dosent seem to botherd by not being the best ever etc just wants to be happy and enjoying himself which seems like he is

Jesus, people used to Want Lukaku and Fellaini burnt at the stake when they mentioned possibly moving one day because we were a bit rubbish and they were actually quite good, if one of them had honestly suggested that they might let their contract run down and leave that way people would have spontaneously combusted.
Hes said he dosent want to leave like curtious ? So what are you on about?

Also says he loves chelsea etc

I'm on about him saying that with 2 years left on his current contract he can't decide whether to sign the new one which has been on the table for over a year. Do you think Chelsea will get as much for him at the end of this season with one year left as they would have after he shone at the world cup and had 2 years left? Not a chance. So he's basically saying he may well screw them over but don't hate him for it because he won't make the decision lightly.

I'm not knocking him, I defended Fellaini and Lukaku, they're just looking out for themselves in the same way I would. I just think it's a bit much to say it's a refreshing, honest, interview when he's basically just pointing a positive spin on the same message that many other players have given out before.

Sarri has proved previous managers have held him back in the style they play . It’s a pleasure to watch him this season. Very similar to what Sarri done with Mertens.

Why should the player be concerned for the well being of his current employer?

Let me put it another way. If you were offered the opportunity to move to (in your opinion) a better employer with a bigger wage, would you honestly give a thought to how it would impact your current employer.

I assume you've just failed to respond to the right post here mate, seeing as the point you're making appears to be exactly the same as the one I made myself.

I read it as "please come and get me soon Madrid otherwise I will sign a new contract with Chelsea."

Doubt if I'd be happy about him talking publicly about his wish to join another club while still a Chelsea player if I was a fan of theirs.

Fans should get over themselves and just support the club; stop building up this romantic idea of expecting the players to feel the same love for their club as they do. Bizarre idea of respect; two way street; in case of Hazard when Mourinho made him play with an injury for a whole season and he performed in a very bad manner they were all very friendly towards him.

He deserves a medal for playing for a club like Chelsea for 6 (+-) years; for a huge part playing agricultural football. I remember Mourinho lambasting him after a CL match against Atlético for not tracking back after he made him play a glorified left back for a whole game. He should have asked to join another club back then. Now for the first time he's actually playing football.

That banner is quite possibly the worst thing I've ever seen. It looks like it was done by a a child but there is no kid in the picture.

Imagine if we’d bought him the season before, he’d be a big standard rightback playing off the bench for Rennes now lol

Seems so relaxed which is rare for superstar these days, just looks like he loves playing football and has a sense of humour too.

Best player in the league at the moment and following on from a fantastic world cup.

If Sarri was getting 30 goals a season out of Mertens at Napoli, the sky is limit for Hazard.
