I think that this is slightly different than it was with Suarez. Coutinho is likely their first choice, but hes not their only choice. If he doesn't go now, there's a risk he'll miss his chance. That wont be lost on him, or his agent. there wasn't another player, in fairness, who was operating at the same level as Suarez was, hence why they were willing to wait.
 

lol can't wait to see my mate later today who was only saying on Wednesday he was at a bigger club already so why would he want to leave. :pint2:
 
FSG the club, klopp and the rest are just trying to save face in this saga. The lad wants out but these muppets don't want to be seen as a selling club again.

We'll see, we held off the champions for Stones despite his transfer request. We persuaded Lukaku to give us another year.

Let's see how these get on with it.
