Given how well that other lot spend money, all initial bids should be rejected from them because they will always stump up just enough cash to make everyone else laugh. As for this, Coutinho might well be a great player in time, but ten million plus for someone whose career consists of 96 games is just mental, its something only them or City would do.

edit: though hilariously we apparently paid fifteen million for Fellaini after only 64 games, so i'll shut up

That's a complete fable, if you look at both the last 10 and 20 years of the premier league they have both the 3rd highest gross and net spend on transfers, behind Chelsea and City of course. They've actually spent more money than Manchester United who they love to bang on about being a rich club.

Forget them, I would love for us to be as rich as a Stoke or Sunderland ffs.
