I have grown up ' hating ' Liverpool players.
I hated Grobbelaar - cos he always seemed to produce against us.
I absolutely despised Rush, for similar.
Couldnt stand Nichol or Ronnie Whealan...

BUT... Now, this fella is different.
Im scared to post what I really think, as some lads would kick off.. But I would hope even his own fans get embarassed watching him sometimes.

I said similar a few months ago. I respect Rush for his talent, for example. But Suarez is a genuinely horrible human being. He could play for anyone and I'd hate him.

Rush, like Lineker, was one of the finest strikers around and was well respected by all fans. Suarez is, with the exception of the RS, universally despised by most fans. He will never be in the same league as Rush and will be forgotten by the RS when he leaves........

I agree. Some say I talk about Liverpool too much, but, it's actually the team I know most about ( apart from us obviously ).
I'm made up they have loaned out Carroll. I was gutted when they signed him, he could be their Dunc.
Lucas is not in the same league as Alonso was for example, but they think otherwise.
Sturridge is bad news for their dressing room and Gerrard needs replacing. I wouldn't swap our players for theirs, genuinely, for the first time in years..

Honestly, If Suarez turned up at my house with Jess Ennis and Julia Roberts and offered to babysit my kids whilst I did the sex thing with the named women,,, I would tell him to feck off and have a wank instead.

About United:

I think we'll batter them, it feels like 2009 all over again.

Not sure about the Lucas/Allen midfield though, I'd replace Allen with Henderson, and replace Downing with Sterling. S-S-S upfront.

Onwards and upwards lads, we're unbeaten in all competitions this year!

Unbeaten in all competitions this year hey, impressive !

This RS side is a pale imitation to the side of Alonso, Torres and Macherano, who would have gotten into most prem sides. I don't know if the RS hordes cannot see this or if they truly believe that Allen, Borini etc is a step up. As you say, for the first time in a while our team is much better, but then again so is the West Brom squad. We have progressed slightly but the RS have fallen greatly and I just don't see them coming back from it because Brenda is just a snake oil salesman........

Fantastic article - good find.

Comments are a hoot.
They are ****ing mindless and predictable to the point of sad really. Absolutely what you expected them to respond with. No real addressing of the issue, a load of people telling him Messi handballed it, smug in the fact they have "rumbled" a journo and sidestepping whats happened. Outright denial and people whittering on about how instinctive it is. Criticism from any corner has to be a "hatchet job" to undermine him.

As a footballer i think he is a wonderful talent but as an ambassador for the sport (which i think is what the writer is trying to say) he falls well short of the requirements. Scratch that, the fella is a dick and a cynical one at that. Isolated incidents are forgivable but he has built up a portfollio of dubious behaviour to the point where coincidences are doubtful. There must be a tipping point for supporters soon?

He's handled the ball and gained an advantage from it during play.

cheating present participle of cheat (Verb)
Verb
Act dishonestly or unfairly in order to gain an advantage, esp. in a game or examination: "she cheats at cards".

It's cheating. There's no other way to describe it. It isn't bias to call it what it is. The only thing I'm glad about is that Jon Champion hasn't been forced to apologise in person; instead, ESPN have, which is bad enough, but if they had made Champion trot out a soundbyte to appease the cultists that would have been an absolute disgrace.

"Lawton's hyperbolic chastisement of Suarez represents five 'incidents' - if you can call them that - over a period of seven years."

5 incidents

Biting
Diving
Handballing
Racism
