I was chatting to one of my red****e mates the other day and he was adamant that he would rather Liverpool finished 8th than 2nd on goal difference to their nearest rivals because it would piss him off too much. I had to leave I was laughing at him so much.

this whole Rafael debacle reminds me of the film Gladiator. You have FSG who are like Commodus (the new Caesar) and Rafael who is our maximus. Thrown out of the club and left in the wilderness where he has become a wild beast.

The baying mob of rome (some of us fans) are cheering for maximus' return and finally when Maximus (Rafael) and commodus (FSG) meet, commodus will say "What am I going to do with you, you simply won't...die"

And then Maximus will pull out his two figurines (not his son and wife) but in this case it is his European cup and FA cup which is all he has to remember us by and put them on the table and slay commodus and we will all cheer and rejoice.
