I think city can win the CL eventually, if they keep getting to semis or thereabouts, much like Chelsea did.

But yes this season I think it will go to Madrid, where it belongs to be fair.
 
I think tonight just defined Liverpool's season in the way they didn;t want: City will go on to rattle off 4 more wins; Madrid in a shootout goes either way.

City in the CL final was their preferred choice.

I really think that we could see Chelsea win the FA Cup
City the League title
Madrid the CL
...and Liverpool settle for the three handled Carabao Piss Pot.

City are a soft touch in the CL. They just are. Liverpool would have taken full advanatage of that. But now they face Madrid who wont be taking any lessons off Liverpool in how to approach and play a CL final.

RS did want Madrid, trust me I've got about 17 family members absolutely buzzing with that.

I said in advance to them, Madrid Will give them a better game than City ever could. Nah, no chance.....

That's just bravado.

Liverpool might beat Madrid. I'd put the outcome of that game at 50-50. But I'd have had Liverpool as favourites if they'd had to play City. They just dont have the belief to step up and take that cup. That's not something you can say about Madrid. Their self belief in that competition is off the charts.

As long as we stay up I couldn't really give a flying one about their super dooper quadruple. Football is finished. It's moribund in Europe. I just want Everton to be in the top flight of English football.

Any trophy available right now: LC, FA Cup, CL, PL has devalued badly over the last 5/6 years.

I doubt if I'm the only one to feel that way either.

Footy has had its day on the continent of Europe, we should step aside and allow other continents to come through to reinvigorate the game.
