This is very very harsh.
Williamson wasn't a bad player by any means. Played 15 times for us (played well in the Cadamarteri derby actually). Got some weird foot injury that had him missing close to 3 years and then just when he was about ready to return he did the exact same injury in his other foot and had to retire.
Matt McKay. Similar player, same era, signed him from Chester I think for 500k, a decent amount for a lad who had played about 3 times for a non league side. Never played for us and had to retire at 21.
