Dyche is the man

Just goes to show that Lampard was never the right fit for the role doesnt it?

When these players bucked their ideas for a manager, who demanded 100%.

They were anything but passive and it seems the system Dyche played today fit everyone’s needs. If this isn’t an exception, we have every chance of getting out the relegation zone.

Battling, direct football, is what we had our best period with, it’s what every successful Everton side has had in the last 50 years, maybe it was meant to be.

The negativity and anti dyche faction, within the Everton base is unbelievable. He is a legend at burnley for continually doing the impossible with little to no money , every player improved under him and we were probably the fittest team in the prem. I fully expect him to keep you up and turn Goodison into a fortress.

Really can’t believe the negativity I read surrounding this possible appointment. He’s exactly what you need.

Dyche played a style of football based on the resources he had on and off the field. And at times, particularly in the championship it was far better on the eye than he gets credit for. If he had the tools he would evolve his style of play.

He was instrumental in us getting two promotions with good football with the likes of Ings and Trippier. And when he had the money signed good footballers in cornet, defour, barton.

The likes of Keane, Tarkowski and even McNeil were a million miles away from what you’ve seen at Everton.

He would be the perfect short and long term man for the job.

Just not convinced the Everton fan base realise the gravity of the situation they’re in.

He’s managed two seasons in the championship. The first season we were promoted behind a Leicester side that had the likes of vardy two years before they won the premier league. The second we dominated the league and went 23 games undefeated from Christmas to the end of the season.

He broke countless records. Including ending a 35 year wait for a win in the local derby. And we never lost against them since.

He kept us up against the odds. Had three top ten finishes.

You will be lucky to get such a brilliant manager in. I’m actually surprised it’s taken a club in this situation before he’s been seriously linked.

You had a fashionable manager in Lampard. (And plenty of other names in Ancelotti, Koeman, Silva) and where did that get Everton?

Dyche is a fantastic choice.
Excellent post. After just one game it looks already like a really really good fit. Beat Liverpool next week and he'll nearly be legendary status!

The only viable candidate for the job and he's had a stunning impact thus far.

Let's please not force him out because he doesn't play like Brazil.

The last time we forced out a manager for not playing naive free-flowing football a la Frank... we went to pot.

Although I do prefer Dyche to Allardyce.

Dyche played some pretty decent stuff for most of his time at Burnley it was only towards the end when it stopped working that he went caveman. He is the kind of manager if you back him with decent players he will play to their strengths..unlike Lampard he is a MANAGER, he knows how to manage players and will do whatever he needs to do in a given situation to get a result, nothing wrong with that

Impressed how he managed the game from the dugout, Not just stood there arms crossed gazing at the turf (Lampard) or raising an eyebrow (Carlo) he was animated and constantly shouting / barking / screaming direction and tactics, no wonder he sounds like he's swallowed glass !! ??

Commentators jokingly suggested he probably needs the day off today lol

Dyche was screaming at the players, at one time he said to one of the players

****** STAY THERE

He made sure they kept their shape.
