Football is a volume game. Doing something once doesn't mean you are that player. It's like claiming Beckford was a top level dribbler because he scored one end to end goal. Doing it week in week out is what makes you a top player. Week in week out McNeil crosses and tracks back. That's what you're getting.

I actually think there is something to a 4-4-2 type team that tries to just pump balls in to really good aerial players. But I think it has to be married with a really strong press that allows you to control the territory of where the ball is. Just having that type of low possession game and then dropping off would put you under too much pressure and put too much pressure on the forwards to take a smaller number of chances. It's an interesting idea.

He feels a decent fit for Benitez, but hes not an attacking winger in the modern sense (from what I've seen).

I would imagine he will go on loan if he were to leave (and his book value may even be higher than that). Personally I would give Iwobi 1 more season with Benitez.

I'd give Iwobi a one way ticket to the South pole but you're a nicer person than I am.

I've been a martial band rashford fan but I think they have lost hunger.

This lad looks like he has pure fire in his belly and is destined for good things.

Front 3 of McNeil, DCL and Richarlison would be way better last season.

Or we could go 442 when needed and have McNeil and Townsend/Gray flanking Richarlison and DCL

Only 21 with much to learn. While those stats might not seem good, he did have the second most accurate crosses in the league over the last two seasons after Alexander-Arnold. Digne is third.



I suppose you should question if you think DCL is better aerially than Chris Wood? In theory, he should notch up more assists if that's the case.
