Couldn't really blame him for choosing to go to Villa

To be fair to Burnley and Dyche I wouldn't necessarily say that they've been flirting with relegation every season over the last few seasons like. He's made them into a solid mid(ish)table team really. He's a solid player from the few times I've watched him and only 21, but I have a hard time seeing Burnley, a team close to relegation battle, will let him leave unless there's a ridiculous offer. 25m seems off.
that is why i would like him only in a 3 man midfield (Allan right - Gbamin or Doucoure central and Mc Neill left) not as one of the attackers.Just looking at his league stats and he averages a goal every 14 games and an assist every 6 games.
So for 25-30m would you be happy with a winger who offers around 3 goals a season and around 6 assists ?
In comparison, Townsend is around 3 goals a season and 3 assists and Gray is around the same stats wise.
Think, if any of those 3 have any sense, they'll be off to another club....sell to buy as no one wants our deadwood.DCL
Richarlison
James
All goalscorers and the Echo reckons we still want a back up CF to DCL who can contribute.
Potentially add in someone like Coutinho on loan then there are goals to the team - Dumfries looked like he loves getting into the box as well.

Trajectory. Look at who they are signing, look at who we are signing.Same Villa who finished below us last season?![]()

True, Dyche has done well but their team is starting to age a bit. I doubt they're letting a young talent like McNeil leave without a ridiculous offer. To be fair to Burnley and Dyche I wouldn't necessarily say that they've been flirting with relegation every season over the last few seasons like. Stats on their own mean little mate.
Would he score/assist more in Man Citys team than Burnleys?
I remember when people were fuming signing Richarlison for £50 million off the back of a good half a season.
Indeed. I'd be surprised if Burnley let him go for £25m even.True, Dyche has done well but their team is starting to age a bit. I doubt they're letting a young talent like McNeil leave without a ridiculous offer.
