That's a pretty weak response mate, tbf. I'm asking a question about this Drenthe affair and because it doesn;t stack up and cant be neatly answered and stowed away you sidestep the question. It's unbecoming of you LCAB. I always expect a straight response, but here at least I'm getting deflection. You are MUCH better than that.
We have a double standard situation here as well you know: you cant have your cake and eat it. Either there's consistency from the manager and he operates a tight ship or he's let this situation get out of hand and his timing has been all over the shop. I know what my conclusions are from what I've heard so far.

i dont mind him going as long as we get someone exciting in (Ahem) pienaar donovan etc are great, but drenthe had that x factor quality- raw pace,a great shot from distance AND unpredictability(sometimes to his detriment) its the first player we have had like this since limpar/kanchelskis

But that's just it mate...that's why principles are called principles; because you stick with them come hell or high water. He didn't do that in this case and it's an obvious dent to credibility. Are we really saying that our manager stuck with Drenthe to help pull us (and him) out of the pre-Christmas doldrums...that he'd swallow the pride of the club to allow a player negotiating with Liverpool and taking the piss on training to continue on, no problermo, beacuse we were 13th rather than a few spots up the table?
That cant be justified on any grounds as far as I'm concerned.
I keep going back to the three words: Consistency...Timing...Judgement.
If you think the manager has done him justice on any of those three in this case, then good luck to you.

The Drenthe situation DID NOT affect the players on the pitch, because once we went 1 up we controlled the remainder of the 1st half and we just got out muscled in the 2nd half. Its football, **** happens dude. You're trying to pin point this on Moyes, the only thing you should be accusing Moyes of is not firing his players up for the 2nd half.
Drenthe is an enigma; he blows out and cold. Blues love him coz he's a nut job and he was something different (a fast paced winger with a fierce shot) when in reality he's a small, stocky, black Peter Beagrie who runs into defenders more times then he goes past them. Yes he has goals and assists, but he's also cost us games and points.
