That upsets me greatly, but I agree.
I'd love Mori to be given a chance to shine. Jagielka has been ok in the last two games but he's way, way past his best and should himself want to play every week. If could take a leaf out of John Terry's book and get himself down a division to prolong his career. Same with Williams.
Unfortunately we probably spent way too much on Keane to offload him and take a massive hit on him, so agree he'll be here. I'd be happy if it was Keane, Mori, Holgate + 1, but agree it'll much more likely be Jagielka over Mori.
Would you be surprised if we didn't go and get a starting CB?
Yes, we have to plan for the future as 2 out the 5 centre backs we have will retire at the end of the next season (or they should).
I feel like we've spent money last summer, that may come to fruition next year. I actually don't see many incomings at all, but with the money we recoup in the next window we must spend it on two power house places who dominate their positions. A centre half and a centre mid.
Ultimately, Funes Mori is an Argentinian international, he won't sit round all season and he won't be happy not playing.
Is he unpredictable? Yes.
Is he prone to a mistake? Yes.
Is he better than Mangala, Keane and Williams? Imo yes he is, I just don't think the management see it.
Bolasie came straight back into the side after 2x45 min cameos, the same for Coleman.
Funes Mori has been fit for weeks now, and is even with the international side. We must not fancy him.
