Really? I’d say average at best. First half he didn’t do a thing well including hold the ball up. Was pretty poor I thought.

….worth noting the Palace CBs look a very decent partnership and have come in for some praise on here. Also, McNeil is not a no10 that will get alongside and beyond him so he will be more isolated.

What I notice is he’s not leading the line in a conventional way. In the first half the ball was played out to Young lots and DCL stayed central and didn’t offer him an ‘out ball’.

I'd guess as Palace play a back 3, the idea was/should of been not to lump it in to one centre forward

In that, Dyche set up it is hard to score goals as an attacking force ....... when hoof ball is the outlet from the keeper TBH.....
Koeman ball
Unsworth ball
Allardyce ball
Silva ball
Ferguson ball
Ancelotti ball (except for a spell of 3 months)
Benitez ball
Lampard ball
Dyche ball

are all to blame, I agree. Why does every manager persist with "hoof it all game and then give him 2 absolute sitters. Dom, I want you to miss them both please"

He wouldn't though.

He openly stated he wanted to move in he summer and not one club put in a serious offer. Just because we persist with him doesnt mean he is any good. terrible striker.

They did.

Everton wouldn't sell him for an acceptable fee for someone who is free in a few months.
