It’s real simple and not understanding some of the posts here. He signs a new contract or we must sell him ! To injury prone to turn down any reasonable offer ..
 
1. He’s a very decent centre forward when fit and best we have, but that’s not really against any serious challengers. It’s like being belle of the ball at a convention of Ian Dowie lookalikes.

2. He’s not that good that he can’t be replaced

3. If he actually wants to go to Newcastle, then it tells me all I really need to know about him. Nobody with any real ambition to win things goes to Newcastle, he’s going for more money.

4. If he moves I thanks him for the important goals and he cost us very little so owes us nothing.

5. We move on.

Newcastle will win something before we do, they literally played in the CL last season, we are at least 5 years away doing such a thing.

I get it, Newcastle are funny, but they are still "ahead" of us, by a long, long way.
