You can slap whatever opinion on it your personal biases may wish. It doesn’t make you right.

We don’t know what went on.

Yeah this, but the other way around.

This player has a cultish following in the fanbase, and the people who are in that cult are not even open to the possibility that the breakdown in talks was over wages.

Well, you see what you want to see.

The issue I engaged with here is someone saying “what else could it possibly be,” other than greed.

There are plenty of reasons a player wouldn’t want to play for Newcastle.

I’m totally open to it, just not judging until the saga is concluded
It’s happened a million times, turn on player because of made up story which turns out to be…. Made up

It could be that he doesn’t want to live and work in Newcastle.

A perfectly reasonable opinion.

I wouldn’t go to Newcastle if my employers wanted me to.

nah, doesnt wash.

Newcastle are the richest club in world football and have just been in the champions league. They'd also improve his wages and are in a much better position to win trophies then we are.

I hate to say it but Newcastle are a big upgrade to us atm.

Theres no reason not to go apart from wage demands
