I don't think that;s the case at all.
IMO the threat to our identity needed to be hammered home and I think sustained that, as most people accept that the threat is real and we need to be aware of it and counter it.
Nobody would actually chose to be in a multi-club group, but we aren't really in a position of choice. Would you rather watch us crumble just so you could say at least we kept our Identity.
We are hopefully getting a new owner ( also a silent owner ) We are still Everton, it's not like the Red Bull group who have stolen the teams Identity.
I think you have just drilled a Negative in your head that you can't get over now.

He might just be looking at the profit he could make on us, Remove all debt, Piece us back together and build a strong squad, a basic total restructure, with a Fantastic new Stadium and 'Bang for your Buck' Suddenly we are a wanted club.
Nothing has even happened/gone through yet, tho If he re-names us 'Friedkins Everton' Then I'm with you and he's going down...
