Ruuuud van Nistelruuudle was one of the best No9s the Prem has ever seen IMO; hugely underrated. Absolutely lethal inside the box. Think he only ever scored 1 goal from outside the area but still could guarantee you 30-odd goals a season. Incredible striker. Very much in the Shearer/Aguero/Henry striker Prem greats for me, just without the length of time here to be talked about as much.

Neither of those two world class legendary strikers made their own chances. Loads of strikers don't. He never will either but doesn't mean he can't (obviously) score goals.

They were exceptional finishers, and DCL… isn’t.

In fact we've not had a striker that does that consistently for ages.

1) those you mention were clinical with the chances they got. DCL is anything but clinical
2) I'm not talking about consistently scoring from outside 15 yards or whatever. Or consistently creating. I'm talking about doing it at all. Ever

Strangest thing though, Doucoure with his long legs and huge feet scores the slidey Dom couldnt reach. And Dom at least heads on target the gaping chance Douc slashed a header at... ha!

It didn't appear so, therefore I suspect they're still easing him back or he's playing with a niggle.
