Selling BOTH Dom and Richarlison is something you do at the start of the window when you have time to replace them

You do not sell one at the start and then sell another one when we're less than two weeks away from the season starting

If everyone knows we have Dom and Richarlison money burning a hole in our pocket then they'll fleece us good and proper

No time to adequately replace him. If he wants out then he can go next summer

Even if he leaves now I doubt he's breaking into the England team anytime soon with Kane there. He can afford to give us another season

Purely Looking at league games

Broja 32 games 1980 minutes 6 goals.
DCL 17 games 1287 minutes 5 goals.

2 of DCLs where pens though.

Per 90 from open play Broja had a better strike rate mate.

Can counter with DCL wasn't fully fit etc, can counter that with it was Brojas first season as a starter in the league and he's 5/6 years younger
They're not the same type of player though.

Broja is a player who likes to make moves wide, use his pace to stretch teams and run with the ball.

DCL is more of a target player etc.

We need both kinds. The LAST thing we should be doing right now is selling DCL and bringing in Broja to lump all of our hopes on.

I'd be delighted with Broja in to compliment DCL.

Massively risky unless he has become a sick note.

I defo wouldn't sell this window.
The club are wrapping him in cotton wool because there's no massive need for him to play every pre-season game if there is any risk that he has niggles etc.

Anyone who cant see that obvious fact has just been pulled in like mugs to his 'personal back story' like some Britain's Got Talent punter.

The lad is a pisstake. Stinks the gaff out all season, but comes up with a crucial goal and rides it for all its worth with some sob story about having 'issues' last season...the only issue he had was being a lazy usless Tyke.

Sell.
Poor that Dave, really poor.

Would you post that in the mental health thread?

I think the worrying thing is that the club do still have concerns, although leaving him out of friendlies is clearly the right thing to do. If he is picking up little knocks during pre-season then he could well pick them up during the higher intensity of competitive matches.

Wrapping our only real striker in cotton wool doesn't bode well does it for the most demanding, physical league in world football. What happens on match days, do we ask him not to jump to high, run to fast, stretch to much in case he hurts himself. What an absolute mess.

Out of order that Dave.

And not playing him gets him upto match fitness how exactly

Think it more protecting the asset than anything playing wise for us

If you're wrapping up a player in cotton wool because you're that afraid if him breaking down that you're willing to go into the season with him lacking mstch fitness - then frankly mate that's madness as he's 1. Far more likely to break down playing in a competitive match at much higher intensity vs players who are actually mstch fit thsn he is in a friendly.
2. He showed last season that when he's not match fit he's pretty much garbage in his role.

If the club genuinely are that scared of him breaking down, then we need to sell him.ss that rings all kinds of alarm bells at how fragile he must be now.
