It’s time to get behind this lad now, always thought he was a bit held back due to him and Richy never actually forming a partnership, the end result most of the time was both players being selfish when they should have worked together.
Hopefully now Lampard will get a decent back up so there is proper competition whilst also getting a few more creative players to supplement Gordon, Ali and Iwobi into creating more chances for the lad. I don’t see any reason why DCL can’t score at least 15 league goals this season.

As much as I don't think he's anything special, if he's going to be fit and sharp next season, he's more than good enough to play.
The issue now is finding a suitable back-up, as Richarlison leaving bumps Rondon up to second choice.
Ideally, we'd want someone who can do the things DCL doesn't. Having an option who can beat a man and strike a ball cleanly (maybe even score one or two from outside the box!) would be very helpful.
