im talking about his conversions of one on ones not his conversion of tap ins from inside the 6 yard box

I always thought of him as a weak finisher (with his feet anyhow) and someone who would never be able to score outside of the box, however his pens show he can sweetly hit a ball with minimal backlift.

He needs to work on his finishing now so he can slow the game down in his mind so when the chance comes he's already picked the spot he wants the ball to go and then just needs the good connection as per his spot kicks.

There is hope for him yet of being a complete striker and someone who could be close to say a Harry Kane.

It's still not bad...Go check every stat for every top striker relative to every type of goal and you'll see he has a high conversion rate. What you are suffering from is attention bias. You see the misses, they annoy you because you support Everton and you convince yourself he's not a good striker. That's all that's going on here. Dom is a quality forward

I love his penalty technique. No fancy movements, no tiny shuffling steps, just two quick steps and blammo!!

He will need to mix it up though, as that’s two pens in a row in exactly the same spot.

Text book move, international brake coming, walk off with a few minutes to go laying the ground work for pulling out :)
