He was never half as badly treated by our fans as some people like to make out - booed off when he fractured his cheekbone away at Villa and his Mrs got a bit of a backlash on Instagram for critism of our support (or lack of) for him, which obviously are both not good, but largely I'd say the fans were supportive of him in his time here.
Glad he got his first game against us out of the way and hope he continues to stay in good health, might even get oh that plane to the World Cup if he stays fit.
