Distin, Alcatraz or Browning

It'll be Distin. He probably deserves another chance for old times sake. If he let's us down again though he should get the boot and spend the rest of his days delivering milk.

Should have gotten Alderweird on loan, been fantastic at Southampton and would have joined us over them any day, ball playing CB who is at the right age. He was nothing special at Atletico but that was a title winning side.

Been saying this throughout the summer. Alderweird and Tadic...

Think Distin will again pull a string of good performances the freak of a nature he is before exloding for good amd retiring. Would love if he goes into coaching at Everton.

Joleon Lescott

Kidding-probably Browning-young star on the rise just like Stones, Alcaraz is getting worse-but he'd be my choice over Distin
How do you come to that conclusion? He's played twice this season and we kept a clean sheet in one of the (thanks to a lovely defensive header by him) and he wasn't at fault for any of the goals in the Swansea match.

Have to say when I posted this I would of been all for Browning coming in over Alcaraz with Distin not making the squad. But the paraguayan done a decent job on Saturday and (in the league) we should keep a winning 11.

I don't think anyone has ever been naive enough to suggest that Alcaraz isn't an excellent distributor of the football, infact had it not been for his pace being painfully slow, he'd be a top centre back for me. He made an error against Southampton, and was in the team for the 4-0 at the pit last year, but you can't knock him on 2-3 performances can you surely?

When you look at Sylvain Distin, you see a quality centre back, but one who's often caught 'wondering what to do next', and when he has time to think about what he wants to do, he'll head the ball against his crossbar, or something silly like that, whilst i can't really complain about his effort and quality over the last few years, there's always something silly like being a bit catty with another player (i.e. Man City away last year), and we end up conceding as a result. Personally, i don't think it's much of a coincidence that in the 7 games without Distin this season we've conceded 6 goals, and the games with him (Leicester, Arsenal, Chelsea, Swansea, Palace) we've conceded 16 goals.

Let's see how Antolin does.
