Dissent against Moyes, when?

So many still cannot believe that there are Everton fans that want Moyes out.. That's not only outside of Everton, I am including Everton fans in that as well.
It was years ago the Moyes out brigade started to get my attention, can't remember who it was at the time but some flash in the pan manager was doing better than us and as always finished lower than us, but at the time he was clearly the Messiah we needed, probably by those same slaters that later would be thinking Brown would win us the league... or Hughes, or Holloway, or whoever will be above us for a few months this year before falling by the wayside.
The amount of people that think that its just pointing out Moyes failings that annoys the Moyes fans is baffling, we all slate Moyes at times, its the increasing cries of Moyes out, Moyes is not good enough, he's lot the plot, has no idea, no plan B, no scouting network, is not good at transfers, can't motivate players, doesn't help youth players, has had loads of money to spend and other general nonesence that annoys.
He is very defensive at times its true but then I'd rather the 3 points which that usually gets us and the increased money to buy better players, than free flowing Blackpool football with no quality because we didn't have the personnel to pull it off.
We have has plenty of games where we played really good football but they are constantly forgotten for some reason.
Personally I am happy with t he quality he has built under the circumstances he has built it and the way he uses it as well. I am sure with 500mil to spend on players he would be a little more adventureous though.

Moyes burnt his bridges with a lot of people when he outrageously attacked supporters for giving a shit about the club and its direction by putting forward the idea of people being hired to sort the never ending saga of the *sale of the club*. As much as being an utter turd when big matches are there to be won, that betrayal just about sunk him as far as I was concerned.

The fact is, he gets very, very rich out of this regime being in place. And all the talk about ambition and success are now hollow phrases from a man protecting the status quo that serves him so well.

I wished it wasn't so, but it is.

Betrayal? How was it a betrayal.

It was his opinion on an idea that was jarg i.e. that the current owners would hand over the sale of their company to some un-named entity to dispose of it - because the BU thought they should.

It was never going to happen, it wasn't particularly well supported within the fanbase & Moyes supported his employer. Shock horror.

The Moyes haters probably pissed off we have started and are playing so well that they begin discussing the times when people turned on Moyes. Its like Kopites constantly reliving their past glories because they currently have none.

2 games in and Moyes's name has been chanted very vocally at both games. Some of you lads must be gutted.

Congratulations. Most embarrassing thread i have seen since i was on kipper.

haha Betrayal, Outrageiously attacked supporters, saga, sunk... drama queen much? This is the sort of thing that makes people defend Moyes when they would normally stay sat on the fence.

I've lost it with Moyes on many occasions but he's done a fantastic job, I love him and there's no one else I would have in charge (that we could realistically get).

Terrible thread, and as the man above posted Moyes has had his name sung very vocally these past 2 games

the worst game I can remember, worse than Anfield, was getting beat 2-0 against Bolton away, he was just sitting on his own contemplating everything

Your name bothers me mate. I is singular and yet haters is plural, I, haters is therefore nonsense and so I keep reading it as I, hater as if you were either a roman emperor or written by anne rice.

And yet not only are you neither of those things, you're not even a hater. I would suggest you change it to I, lover but that suggests either an optical fetish or an over fondness for self love. It's a tricky one.

Is this thread really happening? Have any of you been to the 2 games so far???

Not denying how great we've started pal, I just wanted some opinion on an issue that has seemed to have raised it's head moreso than ever before over the past few seasons.

Read the OP, i'm not a bloody WUM who's here to start a sl*gging off competition, I just want some opinions.

getting bummed by bucharest 5-1 was when i started to really doubt him tactically, i still backed him for a good while after that, and even though its early days this season, last couple of seasons have been different though, i still hold out a little hope that he will prove me wrong yet

This in one. There was something about that night, in fact even the previous night when we watched them train. The mood wasn't right, then the performance and tactical set up was absolutely shocking. Surrender monkeys is a term banded about, and that night summed it up. He just couldn't affect any change to try and arrest the horror show.

But the Cup semi and then the Final itself in 2009 were my real defining moments. I knew then that Moyes would quite possibly never employ daring, attack-minded football and would always have his default setting of defend, defend, defend.

....... I think his name is "i hate rs"

Which would mean all of your above statement constitutes a "fail"

I actually quite like the way that even though every member of the press praise Moyes as if he is infalliable, we the people who watch him week in week out are not afraid to call him on his mistakes and failings. The guy has done a cracking job without question, but he still has faults, he still makes mistakes and we are realisitic to call that and challenge it. I don't know many at all who 'hate him', I know plenty who get frustrated with him, maybe sometimes harshly but that is only human. He is too cautious sometimes and he does retreat at the most ridiculous times (semi final being the most obvious examples - but throughout his time here there have been plenty of other examples, I remember a City home game and a Spurs home game, both last minute defensive retreats costing us games, which highlighted this). I believe our supporters actually keep him on his toes, we do let him know when we aren't happy, nad that is a healthy relationship.

If we all followed blindly and praised him as the next messiah even though he has obvious failings and refused to criticise him and acknowledge those failings, well, there is another band of supporters who do that, and it is frankly cringeworthy and is actually an extremely unhealthy relationship which inevitably leads to disaster...say no more.

That's brilliantly balanced, rational and well written.

You obviously haven't got the idea of this thread at all, have you.....?
