Discussion & help on depression & mental health related issues

Look don't care about Balkan politics good luck to Croatia and the Albanian and Bosnian and Croatian players for Switzerland, we live the same lifestyle, drink the same drinks and eat the same food. Had an awful time mentally and physically, but couldn't care less about football until the proper season starts.
 
Overwhelmed by the replies and very thankful we have this thread. Getting it off my chest has helped me acknowledge the issues I have and I managed to have a quiet night of watching the World Cup.

Regarding work, I think I've just accepted that it is what it is and there will always be other jobs. Need to get myself right before I can consider taking any real action. Based on how they've treated me up until this point I doubt I'd want to be there anyway if various actions were taken. I'm considering resigning as I can make that look better on a resume, and I have fairly good references and contacts from previous bosses. Still weighing up the pros and cons.

I agree that I need to prioritise my headspace, just hard to make that call when a few people are relying on you to hold it together.

Going to book in with my GP today. Been seeing the same one for years so hopefully I'll be given the right avenues to go down and be on the mend before Everton's season begins to add to my fume...

Excellent realization to come to. I can relate to part of your situation. Taking care of yourself and taking care of the people that rely on you are not mutually exclusive. You will be helping everyone when you help yourself.

Hopefully you have another better day tomorrow.

I never understood the necessity of our people involving politics in any sport... Really annoying.

Had a bad day today. It's been coming for a while I think. My mind has been cloudy in the sense that I struggle to think clearly and I've been obsessing about things I've haven't worried about for a while.

I'm disappointed because I've done so well over the past 7 or 8 months.

Trying to look at it in the sense that tomorrow is another day and a chance to be more positive.

Anything behavioral you've changed lately? Added stress? A lot of caffeine? Hope you get it sorted.

It's something I honestly think I have as well, but no doctors say on that so it's not something I'd self-diagnose.

It's when you fear and reject pretty much any social situation from fear of being rejected or ridiculed, but still yearning for intimacy and social situations, basically.
