Whats the issue? We have 4 centre backs all perfectly capable of doing a great job in the defence for atleast the next two years

2 years is incredibly short-sighted.....I can only see Heitinga + Jagielka being around from the current batch in 2 years -- unless Duffy emerges.

This is the last place we should be concentrating on at the moment, Jelavic needs help in the final 3rd. People to create him chances and take the pressure off him.

Distin, Jagielka and Heitinga all had great seasons. But I think Jagielka and Heitinga will be partnered from the off this season.

What was the point of taking him on loan? He's a hot prospect, it was obvious from the start that he would want at least a chance at the first team and I really doubt it was ever in Moyes' plans to give him any.

Sorry...started to read the article, but my eye was drawn to the link "Topless porn stars clash in International football match". Is it worth going back to the article?

Is it just me or does that quote sound nothing like what moyes would actually say....... and why are "O Jogo newspaper" getting a special interview.....

Seems totally bizarre, especially Moyes saying we wanted to keep him but he was never going to be in the 1st team....

Talk about building for the future....

Wasn't this the lad who's registration is held by an agency rather than a club?

I thought everyone knew that he was just being 'parked' at Everton for a spell until he could be moved on somewhere? That's my understanding of the 'deal' that was cut a while back.

If he wants 1st team football now. who do we drop??? hes at the back of a long line of CB's at this club, hes right to let him go.

My only real view of him was in that Under-18s final against Fulham last year that every cnut went to. He looked solid until he made a terrible mistake leading to Fulham's goal, if I remember correctly. Looked capable of becoming a good professional but I'm skeptical that he's the outstanding prospect being made out by some. Duffy appears to be rated higher by Moyes, for one.
