not sure mate, as above it's for the blue union to sort this out. the newcastle example is a good one too, and a chilling reminder to evertonians imo.

I thought it was interesting the support shown to Bill in the ground - a stark reminder i think that the Blue Union dont really have a mandate for the majority of the fan base, i fact it seems like a minority - fair play to the lids as i said - but it will be intersting to know or see their next step as an organisation to cultivate a wider share of the fanbase, the battle for the minds and hearts of Evertonians has begun.#


Has to be said i admired Sir William of the boys pen yesterday for actually being at the game, he could have easily swerved it and been downin London - knowing their was a protest.

I can understand people's frustration toward the board with a seemingly lack of investment and the mis-management of bank loans. But then again, Bill Kenwright saved our club in a way. I'd have him over Peter Johnson any day of the week.

How though mate - is there a strategy for keeping the momentum going - i remember Newcastle had about 50 marches against Ashley and they may as well have been urinateing in the wind - fair play like to the lids - but what was evident in the ground i think was that the majority still have a lot of time and support for Sir Willliam of the boys pen.

There'll be no stretegy to hold a protest every other week. That's unrealistic. They did what they said they'd do and mobilised a significant number of supporters. The campaign, I'd imagine, will take the form of turning the screw on the board over their promise to sell up, and the financial performance and strategy going forward. It's a long drawn out process.

As I shuffled along by the entrance of The Winslow there were a load if fellas standing outside saying "that's just embarrassed our club..." laughing.

Seems the fans are very much split on this. Quite what percentage split is up for debate.

Didn't see any animosity between the fans though, so seems like a lot of them in true scouse style cam agree to disagree.

I felt the fans got behind the team today, but the reason that happened was down to the players showing passion and commitment right up until the final whistle.

There's passionate people on both sides. Personally I see it as a split between those who've settled for mediocrity and see BK as a decent figurehead for their version of Everton, and those that cant settle for that and demand Everton move to the next level and become an elite club.

I know who's side I'm on.

he was never going to miss the game, it was pure theatre and the morning interview in the dail mail set it up perfectly.

i was amazed and also a bit upset by the support shown to him. people are of course allowed to support who they want but i feel we are heading one way with this board - just how many more summers like this will it take for evertonians to realise that this is just not on?

thats just my opinion too but its upsetting me going to everton now, i support the team but when i hand over the season tickets money i feel i am legitimising what i see as kenwrights mismanagement too.

The media works both ways on one hand you have an article written by Bascombe (a bad kopite ted) after being contacted by the blue union,then we have Bill kenwrights article in the mail.
One written by a man who's hatred of Everton is well known,the other by a devout Evertonian and club chairman.
Now who from an Evertonians point of view is going to give the more balanced view ?

The spamming of the forum by attention seekers has gotten ridiculous over the past few days/weeks/months.

Actually, Villa only brought 1600 odd fans.

That contributed to the lower attendance. At least we're not Villa!

The spamming of the forum by attention seekers has gotten ridiculous over the past few days/weeks/months.

You wanna try the Blueroom. So many BU supporters starting so many multiple threads only to be rebuffed by the silent majority of Evertonians. Don't get me wrong. I'm not a BU supporter but i think that their aim of trying to get the board to agree to a process that was forced on the rs is risible.

I was quite shocked at the attendance to be honest.

Either 5,000 people all had something on that weekend, or 5,000 people chose not to go. Which one? And if so, why did they chose not to go? The Board, the Manager, or the Players?

Or were they all skint?

5,000 down on last years corresponding fixture. It's a major issue.

i think the lack of numbers will be attributable to those who have decided to vote with their feet, but also those who simply can't afford it anymore, irrespective of the tempting prices on offer. I set myself a goal of attending at least 5 home games a season (always the first home game), and as many London games as possible. Last season I attended one game all season. I didn't attend because I was in solidarity with the BU, its simply that I don't have the money.
