did anyone see the protest

Nothing personal but he was nowhere close to poor today.

Nowhere close.
Fair do's mate , just to refresh my memory apart from the deflected shot that was going well wide in the park end and nearly ended up in the net what other piece of play of note did he do because to me he done nothing other than play short passes sideways and back like he always does but maybe it's because I just don't rate him as a player , hes obviously a " superb "Player then and I don't know what iam watching as my mate Goat'y pointed out ;-)

And the point in the strike was to...

We have a great chairman (ok, yes he could have more money but he has the clubs interest at heart) and in my opinion the best manager in the league

What do we hope to achieve by all this?

Im baffled...

Im not looking to start a war of words but when it effects players, it will effect the manager and if we loose DM where will we be?

As an Evertonian I totally understand the frustration but isn't it better to belt out frustration by getting behind the team and making Goodison the fortress it is and always has been?

We are a victim of our own success, that being largely down to being run by a decent chairman and excellent manager.

Please Blue Union, fellow Evertonians, lets leave any future protests till the end of the season.

It's all very well and good moaning about our overall situation, but I can't see how a protest will benefit anyone. The board already knows we're up the creek without a paddle, and they don't need to be constantly reminded, and more importantly neither do the players. All it does is fire up the fans about how poorly run our club is.

I remember when Rooney burst onto the scene and everyone was chuffed to bits that we finally had a lad capable of something in our team. All our worries of finance, and where our next win was coming from, went out the window and optimism finally returned. Many believed that was our chance, and Rooney's shot at becoming a club legend.

It should be the same today. Sure, we've just offloaded a few players but we have a fantastic talent in Ross Barkley, who's showing all the quality's of a future star. How is all this protesting nonsense going to affect him? Does anyone really think that a kid like him is going to want to be involved in this? No.

At the rate we're going, we'll either:
A. Cause the board to sell Barkley to balance the books, then claiming that the protests meant they 'had to do it'.
B. Force Barkley to hand in a transfer request to get out of such a negative environment.
C. Find a buyer, become the next Man City and forever lose talent like Barkley in the youth system due to us simply buying established players.

To be honest, I'm not happy with any one those options, and it still hurts seeing 'Wazza' banging them in for Utd, as no amount of money in the world compares to a local lad netting the winner for us (can't wait for Hibbo to do it). I don't know how I'd cope if Barkley and Rodwell were the ones setting him up! I'm not saying that we're a one-man-team, but does anyone really want to sell the 'young guns' to fund the purchase of Moyes' "Cahill formation V.2"?

In a nutshell, I really can't see any good coming from this protest. The fans need to prove to investors that we're the club to be buying, we're the club that will support the club as a whole through thick and thin, not that we mouth off at the board seemingly every time something doesn't go our way. Hopefully the players prove me wrong and use it to fire themselves up and knock a few past Given. We'll find out shortly.

You just don't get it, do you??

Until we are rid of Kenwright and have new owners and a better stadium then we will never be able to generate enough revenue to ever become a buying club again. If Barkley or any of our other youngsters progress enough they'll be brought by a ManU or a Chelsea who can offer the money and chance to win trophies that we can't. It may not happen this season or next, but it WILL happen, again and again.

Agreed. I cannot say a bad word about Kenwright, as long as he is trying to sell the club, which I believe he is. I know it's dragging on but he's right when he says he can't just sell it to anyone, very sensible IMO.

Let's support the TEAM, it was disappointing that there was only 32,700 there today :(

COYB.

Was to... make a show, of the support and achieve nothing. Last throw of the dice for those that have not been pointed out making fools of themselves inside Goodison.

Good riddance.

Stopped reading there...

HOw anyone can think moyes is one of the best managers in the league is beyond me. Yes he's done well on a shoe string, and well done to him for that.. but his negative attitude and tactics have cost us dearly many many times... in 2004/2005 our defence could shut up shop at 1-0 and that would be it.

Credit to him today though, he had som bottle dropping neville and he got all teh tactics right. I'd have prefered neville than hibbert, dont think they would have got the second if Neville was closing him down.

rumour has it we've signed 3 polish lids who are painstakingly painting each piece of gravel a lovely shade of royal blue....
